Love Island winner Kai Fagan has lifted the lid on the less glamorous side of the ITV Hideaway.
The beloved Mancunian, 25, found love on the reality show back in 2022 with his now-girlfriend Sanam Harrinanan, 24. The raven-haired beauty turned heads when the boys left for Casa Amor, leaving his then partner Olivia Hawkins seething at the main villa.
It didn’t take long before sparks flew between them, with the hunk eventually choosing to take her back to the main villa. Following his split from Olivia, the two love birds went from strength to strength, even winning themselves a night in the Hideaway.

The dynamic duo quickly won the hearts of the nation, with them topping off the series being crowned the new ITV winners. Now, as the former teacher embarks on his latest charity campaign with Technicians: We Can Make the Difference, the reality star has shared what it is really like staying in the exclusive villa suite.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star about the lavish lodgings, he revealed how important it was to spend a night alone with your partner during the ITV series. He told us: “It’s not necessarily about the kinky drawer or anything like that.
“It’s about the fact that you have your own privacy. This is the first night in like eight weeks that you’re not sharing a bedroom with 12 other people.
“It’s just you and the person that you’re with. So that was quite nice, but it’s not as romantic as you this it is because of the camera right above the bed watching everything.”
He went on: “And then when you’re in there, you’ve still got the voice of God, like they’d [producers] still be speaking to you and having conversations back and forth saying the toilets that way and wardrobes the other way. So you’re well aware that you’re being watched which is a bit weird.
“But I feel like by the time I went in there, I was used to being on camera and used to the whole scenario, but you just go in on the first day and you’re just like, ‘What the hell is this?’”. Callum Jones and Georgia Steel enjoyed the Hideaway on Sunday night’s episode – they were the first All Star contestants to pay it a visit.
It comes after the ex-teacher teamed up with Technicians: We Make the Difference to shine a light on exciting but under-the-radar jobs that teachers may not know about. Speaking about the campaigning, Kai gushed: “I loved working in a school and as a teacher, I wanted to open opportunities for teenagers and help with their development.
“Many young people might think they know what pathways they can take for their dream futures, but the research here clearly shows that we need to work harder to help them understand that university isn’t their only option and there are still many dream jobs they can uncover.

“Becoming a technician is something you may not have thought of, and you realist you have the perfect skills for – there are interesting and exciting jobs in so many different sectors from agriculture to fashion, and special effects to making parts for space rockets! Options such as apprenticeships and T-levels are great routes to take if you don’t want to go down the university path and want to have the chance to learn in the workplace too.
“Technician roles range from being a Lighting or Sound Technician in a blockbuster film, to a Healthcare Laboratory Technician who develops personalised cancer therapies. The opportunities are so vast and when I sat down with a group of teenagers to discuss roles like these, they felt so motivated and invigorated; it was fantastic to see.”
