A Love Island star opened up about the “awful” messages he received from trolls after leaving the show.
Caine Bacon, 28, from Norfolk, became the only successful Casa Amor bombshell to enter the main Love Island USA villa this year. However, upon leaving the show he has opened up about fan interaction.
On his TikTok account, Caine opened up about some of the hateful messages he was receiving and even told fans about people wishing his plane would crash on the way back to the UK from Fiji, which was where the show was filmed.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, Caine said: “I’m feeling great now, a lot less stressed. The initial hate was a bit much but I’ve managed to turn them into mostly positive comments; now people are seeing my personality come through on TikTok.
“Overall I’m happy I went on the show and grateful for the experience I was scouted through one of my TikTok lives by a casting member, and it went from there.
“Fan reaction started off awful, I can’t help what was shown on the show, however, it’s now brilliant and I love all my wonderful followers.”
The TV star managed to couple up with Liv Walker, who brought him back into the main villa, but has since admitted there was no romantic connection between the pair. He told his fans that it was part of his “gameplan” and he “used” Liv as his way in.
Talking to the Daily Star about his, Caine added: “I didn’t even talk to her [Liv] for the first couple days, but yes I did think that was the best chance to get into the villa and I was right. There was zero connection romantically with me for any of the girls to be honest.”
One fan on TikTok also asked him if he “used” Liv to get into the main villa from Casa, to which he answered in a video reply: “Used it a bit mad, it’s like we exchanged sexual pleasantries and had been with each other a long time and cared about each other deeply, but long story short, yes I did, yes I did.”
On another TikTok, he explained further: “Me and Liv got on well, but it would just it wasn’t a romantic. Not that I really felt anything romantic with any of them.
“But you know, the longer I was in there, the more I thought I’ll actually have to try and force a relationship or whatever you want to call it, or a couple up. Me and Sierra clicked a bit more romantically, if you want to call it that, to begin with, but then it all got a bit weird.
“Clips have been taken out of context completely and the other side of my personality has not come through on the show. That’s why I’m annoyed about it, so if I were to do TV again, I’d like to do one where you know, you’re in your natural state, shall we say?”
