A couple who went on to win Love Island have been slammed by fans for “faking” their break-up.
Paige Turley and Finn Tapp were declared the winners of the 2020 season after the Scottish lass fell head over heels for the football player. The pair went on to be together for over three years, moving in together and going from strength to strength in their relationship.
But after three years of seeming bliss, things came crashing down for the pair as they decided they “weren’t forever” and decided to end things last April. Having gone separate ways, both Finn and Paige pursued their own careers in influencing, capitalising on their individual fan bases following the ITV show.

Recently, both Finn and Paige met each other on Ex on the Beach, which is currently airing on MTV. Now, it seems the pair have been able to bring the spark back and the couple are back together, which happened during the filming on the show.
Ahead of his entrance to the show, Finn confirmed that he and Paige had not gotten back together. But fans of the show were certain the duo would rekindle their relationship and put Finn’s comments down to protecting the show’s spoilers.
But sources close to the show told The Sun that football player Tapp had chosen to give things another go with Paige. It was reported Finn even went as far as to tell his Ex on the Beach co-stars at the show’s launch that they were secretly linked again.
“Finn was overheard chatting to pals at the Celebrity Ex On The Beach launch earlier this week, where he told them he and Paige are giving things another go,” the insider said. “The truth is, neither of them properly moved on after their split and they realised while filming the MTV reality show that there were still a lot of feelings there.
“After filming wrapped, they had a big heart to heart and decided they still wanted to be together. They’re taking it slowly, as they obviously had issues before splitting, but they’re committed to making it work this time.”
In spoiling scenes teased by the show, both Paige and Finn are spotted sitting down to properly go through why the pair split from each other. Tapp could be heard saying about his ex-beau: “I don’t want to lose you completely.”
However, fans of the show are not convinced on how genuine the couple getting back together is. Many viewers have speculated whether the pair deliberately split up in order to make money and then get back together whilst on the show.
“So they went on another reality show with a sob story, made their money then hey presto their back together…” one viewer theorised. A second fan guessed: “It was a ploy to get on a TV show again.”
Whilst a third user had similar feelings, wondering if it was an idea to bring more attention to the show. “Prob just a gimmick to get more viewers,” they penned.
Despite calling time on their relationship in April, Finn and Paige did not go public with their decision until June. Turley, now aged 26, spoke on Love Island: Aftersun about the breakup, telling host Maya Jama that they were “still really good friends”.
