Love Island’s Chris Taylor has exposed one of his bizarre bedroom requests as he continues on his quest to find love.
The 33-year-old hunk has gone from strength to strength since he first appeared on our screens back in 2019. Although the actor has been unlucky in love, he has dominated screens with his cheeky online skits, hilarious podcast appearances and surprising acting gigs.
His most recent appearances include his role in the box office hit Barbie before he returned to the ITV villa in the winter for the All Stars series. Despite failing to find love in the villa, the TV favourite has put his heart in the hands of relationship experts on Celebs Go Dating.

But he hasn’t neglected his roots, after it was announced that he is joining the Love Island panel this year. Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star, Chris has revealed how his role in the Hollywood movie has found its way into the bedroom.
Thinking back over some of the most unusual places the actor has been called Ken by fans, he chuckled that the cheeky nickname has become his alter ego in the love department. He told us: “In the bedroom I insist upon it. I’m not Chris anymore, I’m Ken Emcee.
“People do call me it fairly often. It’s one them, I’m like, ‘You guys, come on, stop it,’ but I also secretly love it because there’s not many people that can say they’re Ken, an official Ken. So yeah, it does pop up.”
His acting gig has even come up when shooting the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating when flirting with some of the stunning suitors experts Anna Williamson, Paul C Brunson and Dr Tara have set him up with. Chris confessed: “We were doing the bench shoot on Celebs Go Dating yesterday and yeah, it got thrown about a few times.
“[I was like], ‘Stop it guys, I’m shy,’ but really [I’m like], ‘Keep going’.” The comic went on to reveal that unlike his character, he has quite the fear of horses.
When asked if he shared any similarities to Barbie’s love interest, he admitted: “I’m slightly different in a sense that I’m actually quite scared of horses. He was quite a big fan of horses I think, whereas I think they’re quite scary looking, personally.
“They’re just like really big dogs, which in theory should be a cool thing. But no, they’re like a weird shape for me. But other than that and taking the slight hint of misogyny out of the equation, I suppose I am quite similar to Ken.”
It was at this point that he revealed that unlike many of the other actors playing the various Ken’s throughout the film, he did very little to prepare for the role. Chris said: “To be fair when I went in to do the shoot, they send a photo to Greta Gerwig, who’s the director, and they were like, ‘What do you want to do with Chris?’
“And she just responded and said, ‘Nothing, he looks like a Ken’. So yeah, possibly one of the best compliments I’ve had in my life actually.”
But it wasn’t always an easy ride for the up-and-coming actor, as he shared some of his acting aspirations for the future. Discussing who else he would love to work with, he pondered: “Yeah, big list there actually, so Brad [Pitt] obviously, George Clooney, he’s pretty cool.”
Chris went on to admit that he had a panic attack when he first saw the Notebook star on set and couldn’t pluck up the courage to say hello. The TV favourite continued: “Actually, no I do have this weird [goal].
“So, with Ryan Gosling, I did panic. I couldn’t really talk to him because I got really starstruck because he’s one of my favourite actors. So I didn’t actually speak to him despite being in front of him quite a few times, I basically had a breakdown.
“So I have this kind of weird, not plan but I suppose it’s like a dream or an aim to get back on a film with Ryan so I can actually introduce myself. I’ll be like, ‘Yeah, we worked together on Barbie, but I had a panic attack in front of you and couldn’t actually say hello.’
“So that’s one of my main aims in life at the moment, to get back in another film with Ryan Gosling somehow and not crumble this time.”
Chris Taylor has partnered with McDonald’s to raise awareness of its new Surprize Fries promotion, where customers will be in with chance of winning millions of prizes. Running until Tuesday, July 2.
