Madonna says God told her “come with us” while she was fighting for life in a coma.
But the pop legend told the Big Guy “no” and later woke up in intensive care. The 65-year-old diva suffered a “serious bacterial infection” last June and spent four days in a medically induced coma under 24-hour care.
Madge told fans at a gig in California: “It was pretty scary… I’m pretty sure God was saying to me, ‘You want to come with us? You want to come with me? You want to go this way?’ And I said, ‘no, no.'”

The Vogue and Like A Virgin hitmaker added: “It’s a strange thing to finally not feel like I was in control and that was my lesson to let go. My children are what really helped me pull through.
“I didn’t want to let them down, so I set a date [for the tour]. And that became a reality.”
Meanwhile, Madonna for recently forced to make an amendment to a segment of her Celebration Tour after she’d made a mix up over the death of Luther Vandross.
Back in 2005, the soul singer passed away at the age of 54 after spending two weeks in a coma. However, the hitmaker who has been touring since October last year, instead paid tribute to the Dance With My Father Again star during a segment about AIDS in her show.
During her sell-out concert, Madonna remembered a number of celebrities who had lost their lives to the disease. Within the montage, Luther was featured.
Luther’s estate have since taken action on the late stars behalf as they requested for Madge to remove him from the tribute segment. His estate were made aware following her performance (February 24) in Sacramento, California.
A representative for the estate told Page Six: “Luther Vandross passed away in 2005 due to complications from a stroke suffered two years earlier. While we appreciate Madonna’s recognition of those lives lost to Aids, Luther was never diagnosed with Aids or the HIV virus.”
