Married At First Sight Australia bride Sara stormed off after her groom Tim admitted he’d planned to marry his ex just months before the show.
Everything was going so well for Tim, a businessman who had lived in South America, as he stood at the alter waiting his bride Sara. The pair hit off straight away and their chemistry was electric.
They quickly realised that they had so much in common, with the newly weds both speaking fluent Spanish after living in the very same South American town previously. Speaking on camera away from others, they both told producers how “happy” they’d been with the match so far.

But there was drama in store for the couple who had literally just said ‘I do’. As they sat down on the top table getting to know one another, Tim dropped a massive bombshell. Sara asked: “What about you, what’s your story with your ex?”
Tim told her: “She cheated on me,” interrupting Sara chimed in with: “That’s horrible,” as he told her: “Yeah, and I was going to propose to her this year.”
There was an awkward silence as Sara questioned: “This year? Wow, when did you guys break up?” Nervous Tim responded: “We only broke up six months ago, we were together for like six years.”
The nutritionist chirped back: “I think my biggest concern is that it’s so recent. The businessman replied: “I need your help.”
“You need my help to get over your ex?” fumed Sara. At which point she got up from the table and left. Speaking on camera and away from Tim, she said: “That was like a slap in the face.”
She fumed: “It looks like a bomb has dropped. I feel like this has triggered me, I’ve been in a situation when I’ve been hung up on my ex. I do not want to baby sit him.”
It was as if their fairytale had turned on it’s head in a blink of an eye. Things turned worse when the grooms best friend scooped up the microphone to present his best man speech.
Lets say after he’d mentioned his friend being “experimental” in a car with a former lover, there wasn’t very many guests impressed. One of the brides pals branded his speech as “degrading” as they reevaluated whether Tim was right for Sara.
