A thrilled 44-year-old Gary stated: “This news has just made up our year. We couldn’t be happier.” Excitement resonates throughout the family, especially with Ollie who is very excited about becoming a bigger brother. Expressing her amusement, 35 year old Cherylanne revealed how Ollie encouraged her to consume pink foods, expressing his hopes for a baby sister.
“I think it’s because he doesn’t want to share his toys,” she joked, reports the Mirror. In an intimate interview with OK! Magazine, Cherylanne confessed that she discovered her pregnancy post her February birthday celebration after attempting for it for a while. She stated, “We are just over the moon.
“After I miscarried I said that we wouldn’t do it again, but I think that was just the process of healing. I went into my 12-week scan feeling excited, but leaving with absolute devastation. So this time around I do often think about something going wrong, but I’m also not trying to wish this time away. It’s definitely a mixture of emotions, but we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
While pregnant with Ollie, there were hardly any pregnancy symptoms or food cravings to speak of. However, her current pregnancy is different as she has developed a huge liking for sweet things and indulges in “eating ice cream every night”.
She also experiences intense nausea and fatigue which wasnt there during her pregnancy with Ollie. Could this indicate she’s carrying a girl. Gary shared how this new addition and their past ordeal following the miscarriage have “given us so much respect and understanding for other people who’ve gone through what we went through”. Now out of the woods, he noted: “Thankfully we now have a happy story to tell and another addition to our family.”
The actor who brought Dino to life in the much-talked-about Irish comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys, has walked away after a 16-year stint from 2004 to 2020. Gary left the show under a cloud of drama, with whispers of a pay dispute alongside co-star Damien McKiernan making headlines.
Opening up about his departure, he confessed: “Dealing with the fall-out has been extremely exhausting and has really taken its toll on me emotionally. There was a problem with pay and things came to a head. It’s absolutely been the worst year of my life.
“I’ve felt depressed it was one thing after another. As a man, you’re told to ‘man up’, which makes things worse. Things are changing though. It’s very heartening to see Martin and Roman Kemp talking about their struggles.”
