Netflix fans have been demanding a controversial feature on streaming platform.
A viral post recently sent the internet into a frenzy after content creator Soren Iverson took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share an edited picture of a Netflix page. Under the series Bridgerton, Iverson added a button which read: “Skip the foreplay, literally. Make family movie night less awkward by deleting naughty scenes from this show.”

He gave viewers the imaginary option to click “no, it’s fine,” or “please do” and a number of X users were completely fooled into believing that the feature existed. One furious Netflix fan quipped: “Are you all children,” as others questioned whether it was a “real feature”.
Some called it “so necessary,” others said they “need this option on flights,” more people admitted they’d “use it with their parents” while someone else posted: “A legit good idea: I’ve always wished for this.”
Other people realised the picture was fake and branded the move an “amazing idea” while someone else said: “Definitely needed. Some of those scenes add nothing to the plot.” One person joked: “Then I insist on a version which skips to all the sex and leaves out any plot.”
The fake Netflix feature joke comes after Bridgerton actor Nicola Coughlin revealed that the streaming platform is contractually obliged to make a PG version of the show. Nicola demanded the tamer cut so that she can show her mother: “It’s literally written into my contract.”
Coughlin, who plays Penelope Featherington in the romance show, continued: “People think I’m saying it as a joke. I just don’t want to. I grew up Irish Catholic, that’s just not how we vibe.” According to the actress, her parent was left gobsmacked after she caught a glimpse at all the “bottoms” featured in the Netflix show.
“You get a bottom, Jonathan Bailey’s lovely bottom, about two minutes into the first episode ever and she was like: ‘What is this?’ But then now, she thinks it’s fantastic and really funny and she keeps talking about bottoms.”
