Amazon Prime series The Boys has seen one scene from its new season banned in India because it’s so disturbing.
The new season of the X-rated superhero comedy drama is well known for its gross-out content, including sex scenes between a man and an octopus and another which saw a man shrink so he could… walk inside another guy’s genitals.
Yep, it’s just as bizarre as it sounds. In episode two of season four, though, superhero Splinter is introduced. His superpower allows him to create instant clones of himself, and in one horrific scene uses that power for self-pleasure.

In one truly disturbing moment, Frenchie and Kimiko walk in on Splinter, who has created a Human Centipede-style chain, of his clones getting up close and intimate with his own bum. The front member of the vile chain has a photograph of antagonist Firecracker, and seems to be enjoying the image as he pleasures himself.
The horrific scene is actually a parody of The Human Centipede trilogy, which has been branded the “most disgusting horror ever”. And in India, The Boys scene is not allowed to be shown – instead, viewers overseas will see just one version of Splinter, pleasuring himself – with no clones in sight.
One film critic has explained: “Re: full frontal nudity, the censorship was egregious in The Boys season three & Gen V. but in season four, there is full frontal nudity. In the Herogasm episode. Almost all of it was cropped out or choppily edited. It was horrible.”
Another X user was left fuming as Indian censorship also blurred out an image of an anus which Butcher sends to another character. They tweeted: “Hey @PrimeVideoIN babe, you up? Great. Can we have a chat about you randomly censoring scenes from #TheBoys in India?
“In season 4 episode 1 Butcher sends a picture of a (his?) butthole to screw with someone (typical Butcher) which has been blurred out.”

Someone else tweeted: “And those are just the ones we know of, lord knows what other gloriously gross Boys-esque stuff has been cut out. @PrimeVideoIN kindly get your sh** together cause right now y’all making a great case for piracy!”
Another fan said: “In what should have been episode two’s much discussed outrageous human centipede sex scene, they’ve somehow CGI’d out all but one. But in the next scene they have no issue showing us ten naked men with their d***s out in a lengthy action scene?”
