Nicki Minaj has spilled the tea on her recent drama in Amsterdam, claiming police arrested her to stop her from performing on stage.
The ‘Super Bass’ queen shouted out to her loyal Barbz on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you and all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination.”
She then slammed the police, accusing them of a plot to keep her offstage: “So they succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight,” she blasted online. Nicki didn’t just sit back though; she got the whole thing on camera: “I succeeded [at] getting to the root of it all by recording them and posting everything in real time.”

The feisty rapper, known for hits like ‘Anaconda’, claimed she’s got loads of video proof: “I have sooooooooo much video evidence. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you.”
Despite the kerfuffle, Nicki’s not letting it get her down, vowing to bounce back: “They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass. They’ve been doing this over and over and over and over and over again and I’ve tried so hard to not discuss it b/c you guys deserve to just get the good stuff. I hate involving you in anything that isn’t for entertainment purposes only”, reports the Mirror.
Minaj spilled the beans on being detained for a gruelling 5-6 hours before she could finally hop on a plane, which itself was delayed by a 20 minutes, sealing the deal on her missing the much-anticipated performance. The flight was a brief 50-minute jaunt, but the hold-up threw a spanner in the works for her tight timetable.
In her own words, Minaj dished out: “That’s why they had to do the big song and dance b/c they knew I’d still find a way to perform even if it came down to my last 90 mins in the building which would have been until 1130pm. The building was willing to go past 11pm. So grateful to them for that.”
The rap queen then sent out heartfelt apologies to her legion of fans who were hyped for the show, vowing to reschedule the bash for either June or July, with the details set to drop Sunday. She even hinted at chucking in an extra treat.
Moreover, the celeb didn’t shy away from sharing her hotel deets, buzzing to connect with her followers from her balcony or maybe even face-to-face downstairs. With a touch of worry, she said: “I’ll be out there for about an hour. Rlly wanted to at least get to see you. But if you’re in bed plz STAY THERE. I’ll update you guys tmrw. Love you.”
She urged her devotees to dial down their enthusiasm just a tad, mindful of the sleepy neighbours. Her message read: “I hear yall. How did yall get here so fast? ! ? Finally a smile. Thank you. 2 mins. But not so loud. It’s almost 2 in the morning ppl tryna sleep.”
Nicki Minaj’s scheduled performance in Manchester on May 30 is set to proceed as planned, and she has also promised her eager fans an additional show this coming Sunday.
