Nicola Coughlan was keen to show off her “perfect breasts” as she stripped naked for a six-minute nude scene in Netflix ’s Bridgerton.
The Irish actress, who shot to fame in Derry Girls, coupled up with her co-star Luke Newton for the new series of the period drama. Nicola admitted to asking producers to be naked – and was so comfortable with her co-star they’d often lounge around without clothes even when the cameras were off.
In part two of season three – which dropped on Netflix this week – Nicola’s character Penelope was being comforted by her lover Colin about a row with her mother, which led to the raciest ever moment of Bridgerton. Colin begins to undo Penelope’s corset before the pair move onto some intimate touching.

The pair were checking on each other regularly as Penelope lost her virginity, with her asking Colin to “tell me what to do” and Colin replying: “You could touch me.” He warned her that sex “may hurt” before the pair romped – and by the end, Penelope was asking: “Can we do it again?”

Colin’s cheeky reply was: “Give me five minutes, maybe 10!” The sweet scene featured plenty of the trademark humour between the couple – as well as leaving fans a little hot under the collar when it dropped on Netflix at 8am.
During a recent screening which took place in Dublin, Nicola was told by one reporter she was “very brave” to show her naked body on-screen – and she had the perfect comeback. She quipped: “You know, it is hard, ‘cause I think women with my body type – women with perfect breasts – we do not see ourselves on-screen enough.

“I am very proud as a member of the perfect breasts community. I hope you enjoy seeing them.”
Nicola previously confessed that she requested certain racy moments to be included in the series, admitting to Stylist magazine: “I specifically asked for certain lines and moments to be included. There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice. It just felt like the biggest ‘f*** you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering.”

Nicola said she “felt beautiful” during the scenes, adding: “I want to be able to look back on this and remember how f***ing hot I looked.”
