Oasis planning range of Xmas gifts before iconic comeback tour

Noel and Liam Gallagher have got Christmas all wrapped up with a range of festive decorations.

The reunited stars are planning a host of Oasis-themed Christmas trees, baubles, cards, and wrapping paper. Once-warring siblings Noel and Liam have applied to the government to trademark the band’s name across a range of Xmas goodies.

The application will stay in place for 10 years when rubber-stamped by the Intellectual Property Office and will stop bootleggers cashing in as the band prepares a 2025 reunion tour.

An intellectual property lawyer told us: “This will give Noel and Liam and their advisors the ability to take action against third parties who may be using the relevant image in the course of trade without consent.

“The mere presence of these kinds of trademarks on the register can also act as a deterrent, where a third party is considering using a name or image without the owner’s consent.

“Secondly, it improves their ability to enter into agreements to commercialise the personal brand with other firms.”

Liam already already has Xmas merchandise with a Liam Gallagher Christmas jumper for £60. And in previous years, he had three sheets of wrapping paper with his face on for a fiver, an “rkid” bauble for £15 and a Santa stocking or hat for £25.

The brothers have reunited for a long-awaited reunion tour after years of feuding, with a string of shows planned in the UK and Ireland and North America. And they have now extended their Live 25 tour to Australia.
