P Diddy’s legal troubles see sales of iconic Justin Bieber song spike

Justin Bieber’s 2021 hit song Lonely has experienced a massive surge in sales, with some fans speculating that it’s connected to his past friendship with Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs.

The song’s lyrics, which describe the darker side of child stardom, seem to have resonated with fans. One verse reads: “Everybody saw me sick/ And it felt like no one gave a s—/ They criticized the things I did as an idiot kid.”

Another part of the song says: “What if you had it all/ And it felt like nobody to call? Maybe then you’d know me/ ‘Cause I’ve had everything/ But no one’s listening/ And that’s just lonely.”

According to Forbes, Lonely has seen a staggering 1,400% increase in sales over just a few days, with fewer than 100 copies sold the week prior. The sudden spike in sales comes after fans began re-examining the song’s lyrics, with some convinced that it’s about Diddy.

One fan wrote on X: “I can’t listen to ‘So Lonely’ without tearing up. Remember how the tabloids mocked Justin Bieber for his behavior when he was young? He was just trapped and trying to get out of the prison diddy and fame and fortune created for him.”, reports the Mirror US.

One person reflected on the recent accusations surrounding Diddy, saying: “In light of recent accusations against Diddy, it’s heartbreaking to remember that Justin was only 15 when he went through his own struggles with him. This song speaks to the truth so many young people in the industry face.”

At the tender age of 15, Justin Timberlake was signed to Usher’s label and guided by P Diddy. Sources now claim Timberlake is “deeply disturbed” by the allegations levelled at the Bad Boy Records mogul.

Currently confined at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, Diddy is bracing for a trial on severe charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has firmly rejected the claims, asserting his innocence in court.
