Piers Morgan has returned to ITV studios three years after quitting Good Morning Britain.
The 59-year-old outspoken broadcaster chatted to his former colleague Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled talk show on Tuesday (May 14) about his explosive Talk TV interview with the woman accused of being the ‘real-life’ Martha Scot from controversial Netflix series, Baby Reindeer.
Before Lorraine got the chance to ask him about his now-famous interview, which has now been watched over 11million times, Piers couldn’t help but compare pal Lorraine to the real-life’ Martha due to their brunette hair and Scottish accents. Piers joked their similiarly was “uncanny” leaving the ITV show host giggling.

Piers confirmed on Monday (May 13) that he’d be returning to ITV. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, he penned at the time: “UPDATE: I’m returning to ITV mornings! Well, for ten minutes anyway. I’ll be giving my first interview about our @PiersUncensored Baby Reindeer scoop to BAFTA queen @reallorraine tomorrow morning. I may or may not wear a kilt.”
Piers hosted GMB alongside Susanna Reid from 2015 until 2021, when he quit the ITV show following an argument with co-star Alex Beresford. Piers had stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain after being challenged over his comments about Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, having said that he didn’t “believe” she was suicidal during her pregnancy with Prince Archie.
Piers’ comments resulted in Ofcom receiving over 40,000 complaints over the episode and after failing to apologise, he left the show. ITV said in a statement back in March 2021: “Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”
The former newspaper editor went onto join Talk TV, launching his own show Piers Morgan Uncensored with the network. Earlier this year, the show left TalkTV and moved to YouTube after the network became a streaming service. When Good Morning Britain celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year, Piers took to X to mark the occasion.
He wrote: “Happy 10th anniversary to Good Morning Britain. I spent five fun, eventful years there, and loved every minute. “He’s a picture of me on my first (April 13, 2015) and last (March 9, 2021) day… divorce is never easy!” The post included a photo of him storming off the GMB set following his argument with Alex.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1 and ITVX
