Piers Morgan has enjoyed rallying up speculation that he could be about to return to Good Morning Britain.
The TV star, 59, famously left his hosting role after storming off of the ITV set because of an on-screen row over Meghan Markle. But he has now stoked rumours that he could be about to take his seat next to Susann Reid once more.
After walking out on ITV over three years ago, fans were treated to a walk down memory lane on Monday’s breakfast programme. GMB were marking a momentous decade on telly after the morning show had been rebranded ten years ago.

In their normal fashion, hosts Susanna and her current co-star Richard Madeley treated viewers to some blast from the past antics from some of the newsreaders over the years. Kate Garraway, Ben Shephard, Martin Lewis and Adil Ray all being featured in a tribute montage but the broadcaster failed to mention, Piers Morgan.
Re-tweeting the compilation, Piers jibed: “Great to see @GMB pay tribute to their top 10 presenters over the past 10 years with this touching Instagram post. Did Meghan Markle tell you not to mention me?.”
Following his backhanded joke, Pier’s online community went wild reminiscing about the “good old days” when the former Mirror editor was on screens again. Many said the programme had “fell apart” since his exit.
With lots of emphasis on past episodes to mark the occasion, Piers couldn’t help but jump on the bandwagon with a couple of blast from the past images of him and his ex-co star Susanna on their first day. The sweet throwbacks really put the cat among the pigeons and rallied up online troops – who speculated that he could be returning to screens.
In the picture, Susanna and Piers can be seen getting close for a selfie as they readied for their debut together. Little did they know at this point in their careers they’d be such a hit with viewers.
Piers captioned: “8.30am on our first ever @GMB morning working together. @susannareid100 looks traumatised.” Another post read: Happy 10th anniversary to @GMB – I spent five fun, eventful years there, and loved every minute. Here’s a picture of me on my first (April 13, 2015) and last (March 9, 2021) day… divorce is never easy!”
Meanwhile, the former GMB host continued to stoke rumours of a return with a few lighthearted responses to intrigued fans. One person asked him in the comments section: “Is that confirmed? News tomorrow morning: PIERS COMING IN SEPTEMBER! Micheal seems happy!”
He chirped back: “You never know, Michael… Hope you come back in September.” Others were just keen to have their beloved host back, they told him: “Absolutely without you @GMB it’s just not the same, no cutting edge and loads of naff polls and wannabe stories.”
