A bum double was used in the new drama about Andy Windsor.
The disgraced royal is played by Rufus Sewell in Scoop, about his infamous Newsnight interview. But he didn’t have to strip off for a revealing scene as producers hired a stand-in to moon.
Sewell, 56, said: “Not that I’m ashamed of my own. I get it out whenever I get the chance! But this bum was specially shipped in.” The scene shows the Prince, 64, standing on a bathmat while the Newsnight episode airs in November 2019.

It spelled the end of him as a frontline royal but the team behind Scoop think he had no idea it would be so damaging. Sewell, inset as Prince, said: “He steps away feeling he could just have it on in the background, like the shipping forecast.
“It’s the comforting sound of him giving them what for.” The flick, starring Gillian Anderson as interviewer Emily Maitlis, is on Netflix from Friday. Rufus also shared how he transformed into Prince Andrew – saying he didn’t say yes to the part until he’d “worked on it on my own for a while”.
He explained: “I had an instinct about playing it, I felt that there was something I thought I could bring to it, but I’m not someone who has a natural gift for mimicry.
“I have a good ear. I always think that with an accent. But there are certain really great actors who just have that pretty natural ability to just do it. I can’t, I have to come in a different way. So I said yes because of instinct.”
