Rebekah Vardy will ‘reignite’ feud if Coleen Rooney says two specific words on I’m a Celeb

Rebekah Vardy is keeping a close eye on Coleen Rooney after her signing for I’m A Celebrity.

The model, 42, reportedly said that she would be ready to take legal action against the former WAG if she even mentions the phrase “Wagatha Christie”. It comes after Coleen was reported to have been signed for this year’s series.

According to The Sun, Rebekah has instructed her lawyers to “keep an eye” on Coleen’s stint in the jungle next month. Coleen’s presence on the show was revealed on Saturday (October 12), with the wife of Wayne Rooney heading down under for an eye-watering deal of £1.5million.

Rebekah herself is no stranger to the jungle, having appeared on the ITV show back in 2017. However, things soon blew up for the star in 2019, when she was accused of selling fake stories about Coleen to the media.

Former campmate Rebekah has reportedly been keen to stress that she owns the trademark for “Wagatha Christie”, which came to dominate the headlines when the story came out. Now, a source has told the newspaper that Rebekah will be watching out for any possible breaches of their truce.

“Becky was absolutely agog to hear Coleen was doing I’m A Celeb and fears a whole new round of allegations about their WAG war,” the source said. “What’s more, she knows Ant and Dec will make her the brunt of their jokes and be desperate to jump on the Wagatha Christie phrase; a very close eye will be kept on everything ITV air.”

Both Rebekah and Coleen, 38, were back in court again last week as they battled it out once again after Rebekah suffered a humiliating defeat in 2022. After taking the former Closer columnist to court over libel and losing, the judge ordered Rebekah to pay 90% of Coleen’s legal bills.

But Rebekah, who’s hitched to Leicester City stat Jamie, said that Coleen’s costs are disproportionate. A source close to the model said that Rebekah believes Coleen is a “hypocrite”.

They said: “She told friends it felt a bit rich for Coleen to bang on during the High Court libel row about how she liked to keep her life private and didn’t engage with exposure. And now she’s signed up to ITV’s biggest show.”

The drama between the two women erupted in autumn of 2019 when Coleen posted a statement to her Instagram account accusing her of selling fake stories about her life to the tabloids. Rebekah strongly denies any wrongdoing, instead blaming her then-agent for the mess.

Since then, the pair have been at war with each other, going out of their way to continue the beef. In 2022, Rebekah took Coleen to court once again accusing her of libel after Coleen blamed Rebekah for her private information being leaked to the press.

However, a judge ruled in favour of Coleen and ordered Rebekah to pay 90% of her legal costs, with the footballer’s wife having already given Coleen £800k before last week’s ruling. In his final remarks, the judge ordered Rebekah to shelf out another £100k to Coleen in the next 21 days.
