Ricky Tomlinson is raking in a fortune flogging romantic messages for lovers.
The Royle Family star records them on video sharing site Cameo. And Jim – who played grumpy Jim Royle – is a surprise best-seller for Valentine’s Day with his £59 a pop footage.
One delighted customer who booked a message for their partner for 14 Feb said: “This video has brought happy tears. It was more than expected and you’ve really made this so special.

In a single month he notched up more than 40 reviews but with around only a quarter of customers bothering to leave a write-up, he is coining it in from the comfort of his armchair.

Fans have been left delighted by his videos which are often almost 10 minutes long.
One said: “Absolutely amazing. My sister will be SO CHUFFED with this! Thank you so much Ricky – we loved you in The Royle Family and the numerous works you have done and we love you even more after this video! THANK YOU! YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND!”
Another added: “Absolutely amazing, what a properly nice man! Thank you so much. I’m so happy and excited to send this for a birthday.”

Ricky will be joining the countless other celebrities that also have an account on Cameo and rake in cash on a daily basis. Currently the top earner on the platform is Inbetweeners legend James Buckley.
In 2022, he was announced as the site’s first millionaire as he praised the app for giving him “financial freedom” to pursue his other projects.
