Film fans are disgusted by one film they’re calling “the craziest they’ve ever watched”.
On Instagram, @cinematologist_ uploaded a Reel with clips from the film Trash Humpers and added the caption: “This insane film, which some don’t even consider a film, is impossible to recommend, so watch at your own risk. Those who have seen Trash Humpers (2009) know what I’m talking about [laughing emoji].”
“I think he made this one just to see if he could get away with it,” wrote one film fan as another added: “Literally the worst film I’ve ever watched.” Someone else branded the film an “insane masterpiece”.

“You have to just watch with either the sound off or play music over it. It is the only way. The noises they make become intolerable otherwise,” warned another viewer, while a second chimed in: “Definitely the craziest thing I’ve ever watched ‘Make it, make it, don’t fake it’.”
Another person, who branded Harmony “an artist with a unique voice,” wrote: “Trash Humpers is disturbing, unique in how it was made, the locations he used are fascinating and the people he got on camera are unforgettable and disturbing. I imagine it’s like the nightmares of a meth head. The last scene disturbed me and made me question everything I had seen leading up to it […].”
Trash Humpers is a black comedy film released in 2009 and shot on a VHS video. The IMDb description of the movie reads: “Trash Humpers follows a small group of elderly ‘peeping toms’ through the shadows and margins of an unfamiliar world.”
The film, written and directed by Harmony Korine, is “crudely documented” by the characters themselves and viewers follow the “shocking actions” of their strange and destructive antics on the streets of Nashville, Tennessee.
The group is described as “true sociopaths, the likes of which have never been seen before” and viewers watch them literally “hump” trash, trespass, vandalise and destroy property. While celebrating one of the group’s members, he spends the entire time constipated on the toilet.
