Ruth Langsford issues heartbreaking update on Eamonn Holmes as he’s left wheelchair-bound

Ruth Langsford has shared her fears over husband Eamonn Holmes’ health.

The GB News presenter, 64, has been dealing with chronic pain for the last few years. Former This Morning star Eamonn had a tough time, undergoing a procedure to relieve pressure on his sciatic nerves in 2022.

He then suffered a fall not long afterwards. Eamonn has since been going through rehab, updating his fans on social media every now and then.

And now, Eamonn’s wife of 14 years Ruth has candidly revealed how she fears he will never be “100 percent right” after his ill health. She told Woman’s Weekly: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.

“I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve,” she added. Ruth went on: “We live in hope.He does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100 percent right.”

She added: “With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy but if something happens to somebody you love, you help them as much as you can. It’s testing but we manage as a family.”

This month, Eamonn was spotted out in London using a wheelchair. A source said Eamonn is “in pain a lot of the time” but that he is still loving his work.

“Eamonn has been using walking aids for around 18 months now so not much has changed unfortunately,” they said of the star’s ongoing struggle with pain. “He is doing everything he can.

“But the lack of progress from the physio has obviously been a bit frustrating. But he continues to have physio sessions pretty much every day and continues to work hard in his rehabilitation.”
