Rylan Clark admits payback as he tricked ‘huge pop star’ into drinking his urine

Rylan Clark has admitted to tricking a well-known pop star into drinking his own wee while on holiday in Majorca.

The former X Factor star and BBC Radio DJ, 35, revealed the story to his co-stars as he appeared on Dave comedy panel show Unforgivable. Hosted by Mel Giedroyc, the show’s guests reminisced on potentially awkward encounters they have had during their life and shared them candidly with fellow panellists and viewers alike.

Clark recalled how the incident took place while he was shooting to fame when he appeared on the ITV show back in 2012. Reaching the live shows, Rylan was a household name and celebrated as such when he would jet off to the Spanish island of Majorca to perform a residency he had at a beach club.

But things soon took a turn for the worse for the star, as he was later told another pop star at the time would also be taking up a residency on the club. He added that his rival star was reportedly being rude to other staff members, and as a result, Rylan took it upon himself to get some well-deserved revenge.

Recalling the moment on the show, he said: “I used to fly there every Tuesday, perform three songs and fly back. I had the residency on the Tuesday, and another ‘pop star’ had the residency on the Wednesday.

“I asked what that person was like, and they said, ‘He treats us all like s**t and he’s really, really rude to people’,” he continued. “Every week he’d have the same bottle of whisky and only have one drink from it – so on my last night I found said bottle of whisky and I topped it up myself.”

Clark then made the horrifying revelation that he had urinated into the bottle and given it to the unnamed pop star. Joking about the situation, Rylan described it as “wee-sky”, sending his fellow finalists into a frenzy of terror, as they all winced upon hearing the story.

Rylan’s openness and honesty comes after the Eurovision commentator revealed that he suffered terrifying head injuries from homophobic bullies. Opening up on his latest documentary, Rylan: Homophobia, Football and Me, Rylan chronicled how the LGBTQ+ community has been treated in the world of sport.

The documentary also looked at the devastating story of Justin Fashanu, who was the UK’s first openly gay footballer, who took his own life aged just 37. It also includes a candid conversation with former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand and his regret over using homophobic language in the past.

Looking back on his time being a football fan, Rylan tragically recalled that he was bullied for his weight, sexuality and even for being naturally ginger. Things got even worse for the star when he was hospitalised following a horrific attack.

Reflecting on his time at school, Rylan said: “When I lived in London there was this playground that I used to go to after school and I got pulled off a rope swing and some boy kicked me in the head and fractured my skull. I was probably about 13 or 14; I was in hospital, it was a horrible time.”
