Sharon Osbourne has apologised to her fans after she gave a worrying update on the health of her husband Ozzy.
Former X Factor legend Sharon, 71, admitted that things had taken a turn for the worse for the former Black Sabbath star and she needed to be there to look after him. As a result, Osbourne – who was due to attend a festival this weekend – admitted she would have to pull out of the show.
The iconic couple had been booked to appear at the upcoming Mad Monster Party in Phoenix, the state capital of Arizona. The festival, which centres itself around horror and science fiction, was due to have a “meet and greet” for both Sharon and Ozzy, with tickets setting fans back an eye-watering $666 (£526).

Son Jack, 38, was also meant to be attending the show, and will continue to do so. However, due to advice from medics, Ozzy, 75, has been advised not to travel – which means Sharon and daughter Kelly, 39, have decided not to attend.
Fans of the famous family were left disappointed as Sharon took to Twitter to explain their reasoning for leaving the festival. In a video that she shared to her social media, she apologised to fans profusely for cancelling with just two weeks to go.
“Regretfully, the Osbourne family have to cancel our upcoming appearance at the Mad Monster Party in Phoenix because Ozzy is unable to travel at this time,” she said in the video. “However Jack will be there flying the flag for the Osbournes.”
She went on to say that anyone who had tickets booked for the meet and greet would be able to get their money refunded. However, she said that she hoped fans would understand, going on to thank supporters for their messages of love to Ozzy, adding it “means so much to him”.
“All I can do is apologise that we won’t be there and I’m apologising to the people we’ve let down from my heart,” she added. “So, God bless you all. Thank you so much.”
Rock legend Ozzy admitted in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease one year prior. Since then, the condition has impacted his ability to walk, as well as causing immense back pain, blood clots and even depression.
He also is suffering other physical problems after sustaining injuries from a fall in 2019 that dislodged metal rods in his back. The rods had been placed in his body following a quad bike crash in 2003 that nearly left him dead.
When asked about his numerous surgeries, Ozzy explained: “I’ll take one day at a time because I can’t make that much of a plan. Whatever I plan gets changed – I can’t travel yet.”
The last operation that Ozzy underwent to fix his rods was the final time he believed he could go under the knife, he said in a candid interview. “Regardless of the way it ends up, I can’t do it anymore,” he said.
