A Neighbours star once shared how she had to stop filming a “really awkward” sex scene in a show that “pushes the boundaries”.
Viva Bianca plays Chelsea Murphy on the Aussie soap – making her debut earlier this year. And it hasn’t taken her long to become a firm-favourite with fans.
Prior to her stint on Ramsay Street, Viva had roles in the likes of The Reckoning and A Prince for Christmas. And between 2010 and 2012, she played Ilithyia in the racy historical drama series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Vengeance.

The show followed the life of historical gladiator-turned-leader Spartacus and his revolt against the Roman Republic. And it’s fair to say the show was jam-packed with blood, sex, full-frontal nudity and gore.
So much so, that it was once dubbed “TV’s bloodiest, and most naked show”. What’s more, even star Viva once described the show as always “pushing the boundaries”.
In 2013, Viva chatted with YoungHollywood. Talking about the rather saucy Spartacus TV show, the host asked her: “They do push the boundaries don’t they?” The blonde bombshell quickly replied: “They do!
“Even sometimes when we’re on set we’re like ‘You seriously want us to do this?’” Viva added: “Every now and then I think they have to tame back some of the group orgy scenes, or revolting fight scenes where someone will piece out a human heart!”
Viva was then asked how it felt to take part in the raunchy sex scenes and be naked on screen. She replied: “It’s always really awkward.
“And the other weird thing is the guys that you’re doing the scenes with are like your brothers because you’ve been shooting together for a couple of years now.”
And things can sometimes get so awkward that Viva had to tell the director to cut and stop filming. She shared: “You’re just like p*****g yourself laughing half time time and you’re like cut I can’t do this!”
While speaking to That Shelf in 2012, she admitted: “Doing sex scenes and doing nudity is never easy and never comfortable. It must be dealt with in the most clinical, professional, and respectful manner. And on this show it absolutely is, we’re really protected.”
As for how she landed the role in the raunchy series, she added to the publication: “I was cast from Australia and it was the biggest production I had ever been on. It was very exciting, but at that stage we didn’t even really know what the show was going to be.”
