Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have wrapped up their divorce within just six months.
Last year the couple admitted that it was a “difficult decision” to part ways after seven happy years together but they continue to “love and care for one another”.
Joe, 47, cited “irreconcilable differences” as he filed for an amicable divorce. Court documents reveal that both Joe and Sofia, 51, will keep their individual assets according to their prenup agreement.

The court papers obtained by TMZ show that Sofia and Joe chose not to seek spousal support. Since the couple never had children, there is no child support payment either; an issue that played a large role in their separation.

Sofia, who fans know as the hilarious mum from Modern Family, opened up last month about her split with her ex-husband owing to arguments about having kids. Speaking to Spanish newspaper El Pais, Sofia explained: “My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mum.”
Adding more to the matter, she said: “I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me.” Sofia already has a grown-up son, Manolo, 32, with her former spouse, Joe Gonzalez.

The actress shared that she’s “ready to be a grandmother” rather than having more kids herself. She also mentioned she’d only date a guy in the future if he “had his own children”. Sofia made a light-hearted comment, saying when her son Manolo has a child, she can “bring the baby to me for a while and then I’ll give it back to him and go on with my life.”

Joe and Sofia got together in 2014. Joe revealed that on their first date, Sofia had doubts about their age gap. “Our first date was her giving me every reason why it would never work out. Like, ‘You’re too young, you’re an actor, you’re this, you’re that,’ and she was just doing it to hear herself say it. She was trying to talk herself out of going there,” he said in a chat with Haute Living in 2015.
After dating for six months, Joe popped the question to Sofia. They got married in a fancy do in Palm Beach, Florida, with about 350 mates there, including Sofia’s pals from Modern Family, Sarah Hyland and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
