Sopranos star Drea de Matteo says ‘fans want me to rate penis pics in Adriana’s voice’

Drea de Matteo, whose award-winning turn as Adriana in The Sopranos brought her international fame, says that now she’s on OnlyFans men constantly bombarded her with requests who want her to record a rating of their penis photos in her character’s trademark New Jersey accent.

The actress admits that despite high-profile appearances in biker gang drama Sons of Anarchy and Friends spinoff Joey, she was almost broke when she launched her OnlyFans account.

She told the OnlyStans podcast that the viral news story of a single video paying off her mortgage was not quite true: “I probably exaggerated and said I had $10 left in the bank I probably had maybe $100 or $1,000. I had a big house that I was sitting on but that that statement was not what I said.”

But, she says, it’s her Sopranos legacy that has brought her over 17,000 eager subscribers, and they all want her to reprise her Adriana accent. “They want to be be rated in her voice, which is crazy,” she laughs.

The problem is, Drea adds, that while many of these men want to be insulted and belittled, that wouldn’t’ be true to Adriana’s character: “She was the heart, she was the the moral compass she was the only truly good person on the show.

“She was innocent she was driven by love all the time.”

Despite her central role, Drea says she didn’t earn all that much from the smash hit show. She added: “We didn’t make a lot of money on The Sopranos …I’m one of these actors in the world that never made a ton of money I was on the biggest shows but I never had great representation.”

After her character was killed off, Drea moved on to play Joey’s sister in Matt Le Blanc’s Freinds spinoff, although that did cause a little trouble with Sopranos showrunner David Chase.

The fact that she had signed up for a new series gave away Adriana’s fate before her death scene had aired: “I took Joey and somehow it got out into the press. David Chase called me …he said ‘What am I reading? what is going on? I thought that we were cool’ and and I said ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’

“Then I found out that it was on the news, so I booked all these talk shows and said ‘No I’m not dying on The Sopranos are you f*****g crazy?’”

But she did move on to the new show, where she said the cast and crew would party through the night after a week’s shooting: Drea said: “We had so much fun, we would climb stage 24 and end up out on the roof at five or six in the morning. We were wild. We would order tons of food and just eat through the night.”

From there she moved on to Sons of Anarchy, but even there she wasn’t doing well financially, with her salary being “cut in half” after she had already signed on.

But with OnlyFans, Drea says she’s finally financially secure, not least because of the constant special requests coming in from fans.

She said: “I’m not good at keeping track of them because I’m so freaking busy and everything’s all over the place so I was writing them out. My kids will see them – they think the whole thing is f*****g hysterical.”

She says that her requests contain “a lot of foot stuff,” but she has something special saved up for a rainy day. Although she thought she had lost most of her Sopranos memorabilia she recently found Adriana’s iconic tiger-print catsuit. She says she could probably still squeeze into it for a custom video although it would be “a major moose-knuckle situation.”
