Steve Buscemi made a surprise appearance as he broke up a fight in an Irish village.
The Hollywood star, 66, is currently in Ireland filming for his latest project. He is in the midst of recording scenes for the latest series of Netflix smash hit Wednesday.
However, as the Fargo star took a break from filming, Steve found himself acting as a mediator after a vicious fight broke out outside a pub in a small village near the Irish capital, Dublin.

Steve had been in the village of Dalkey over recent weeks as it was the base for where the crew had been filming his scenes. He was eating at a local restaurant in the area on Saturday evening (August 31st) when the brawl began to break out.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, a fellow diner admitted that no one had recognised the star, who has made appearances in the likes of Reservoir Dogs and The Sopranos. However, after the commotion outside the pub next door began to take hold, Buscemi took it upon himself to try break things up.
Diner Oisín Heavey said: “We could see there were loads of people outside, kind of looking up towards where he had gone, so we assumed he was spotted. When we went outside, there was actually a very vicious fight going on, and that’s what everybody was looking at.”
The customer added that during the course of the fight, Steve continued to remain unrecognised. But he was quick to help one man who had been knocked to the ground in the skirmish.
“He stood over the guy on the ground for a few seconds, and the fight naturally broke up after that,” Heavy said. “Some people said he broke up the fight, but he didn’t. He tried to help, which is more than most people would do.”
This is not the first time that Buscemi has tried to intervene in a bar brawl before, as in 2001 he stepped in to try and calm tensions during a bar fight in North Carolina. He was eventually injured, sustaining cuts to his head and neck, as well as injuries to his hands after being attacked with a knife at a bar in Wilmington.
Steve had been filming another project at the time – a movie titled Domestic Disturbance – when the brawl kicked off. The man who wielded the knife at the star was eventually arrested and detained by police.
Later, it was confirmed that the perpetrator was student Timothy Fogarty, and was jailed for 180 days for the disturbances and damages he caused. However, this came against the advice of Steve himself, who appealed to the judge not to give him a custodial sentence, instead being given help with possible substance and psychiatric issues.
