Craig Revel Horwood has served up a slice of cuteness with an update on co-stars Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec’s baby
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig shared a heartwarming glimpse into the family’s ilves, complete with an adorable photo of the tot. Rocking his signature flamboyant style, Craig, 59, was snapped cradling baby Lyra, who was kitted out in sunglasses just like his.
He took to social media to show off the sweet snap, quipping: “Best festival accessory money can buy. What a little dreamboat.” The Strictly celebs were out in force at Sarah Davies’ birthday bash, which was all about that festival vibe.

Sarah, known for being the youngest hotshot to snag a seat as an investor on Dragon’s Den, had her turn on the Strictly dancefloor in 2021, meanwhile.
Last year, Craig dropped a bombshell about possibly retiring his dancing shoes after a long stint on the show since 2004, reports the Mirror. Known for his sharp tongue on the judging panel alongside Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton du Beke, it seems Craig reckons his time on Strictly might be ticking down.
Chatting to Best magazine, he mused over hanging up his judge’s paddle, saying: “I’m working hard while I can, especially as I love what I do. It keeps me on my toes, darlings! I’m now the same age as the late, great Len Goodman was when he first started – that’s scary, isn’t it?!”
He opened up last: “The reason I look forward to it every year is because the cast changes. I think that’s what’s fun about it, it doesn’t age. And chatting with Loose Women’s Kaye Adams and Karen MacKenzie on their How To Be 60 podcast, he let slip his initial plans to hang up his dancing shoes at 50.
“I wanted to retire at 50. I’d set up a plan to retire at exactly 50, from when I was 25 and I was doing Miss Saigon – something like that in the West End. And then I thought, ‘Right, I’m going to set up a retirement plan because I don’t want to be doing this for the rest of my life’. And I went to the people who were arranging it… and I could only afford £126 a month to put into it, but I’d never changed that amount.”
Craig added: “And I’m now coming up to 60 and I still haven’t retired, so there you are. I was looking forward to old days, I was looking forward to getting fat, I was looking forward to not having to diet anymore or do exercise, or dance anymore. As much as I love dancing, when you’ve done it for a living, it is the last thing you want to do at parties – it’s bizarre.”
Despite shedding a tear during December’s final, sparking rumours he might bow out, Craig was back to his usual ‘panto villain’ antics on the Strictly live tour in February, leaving fans absolutely gobsmacked.
