Taylor Swift suffered a rather awkward wardrobe malfunction as she brought the Eras Tour to the UK.
The Love Story songstress kicked off the UK leg of the tour in Edinburgh, before she moves on to Liverpool, Cardiff and London. She’s set to head to Ireland for three gigs in Dublin before heading to mainland Europe, with dates in Amsterdam, Milan and Munich among those on the list.
In August she’ll return to London’s Wembley Stadium with Paramore as her support act. But it seems the chilly conditions in the UK – despite the summer dates – have been proving almost too much for Taylor, as she was forced to wipe snot on her costume while braving eight degree temperatures in Scotland.

According to one X user, who posted a video of the incident on social media, Taylor was forced to wipe her nose with one hand before rubbing the visible snot off on her Reputation era costume, decorated with black sequins and snakes.

She was singing her hit Don’t Blame Me at Murrayfield Stadium during the gross moment, and later could be seen licking her snot when it dripped over her red lipstick at the piano. Fans can’t cope with the hilarious moment, with one gushing: “What is the problem here? Shows that she’s human just like everyone when they don’t have access to a Kleenex.”
Another, however, wrote: “This video of Taylor Swift eating her boogers and throwing snot on the stage keeps popping up. Honestly eat your boogers in private, IDC, but on stage is insane.”

But bogeys might not be the only bodily fluid Taylor has to deal with when on stage, as some fans have wondered just how she manages to use the toilet during her three-hour concerts. One TikTok user explained performers use a “pee bucket” so they don’t have to hold it in.
They said: “I don’t know if this is Taylor’s tactic, but there is such a thing called a pee bucket. You see, at most concerts, there are two different dressing rooms for the artist […] one to get ready in with a bathroom in” and “another under the stage so artists can do their quick change”.
In most studios, the under-stage room doesn’t have a bathroom connected, so a bucket is used instead. Stars like Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and the Jonas Brothers have admitted to using this tactic on stage.

Katy joked to The Sun: “You walk on stage feeling like Mary Poppins but really you’ve just had your skin zipped, peed in a bucket and been dry-heaving over the trash can.” While Kelly admitted: “There was one time – it wasn’t pee, my friend.
“I got some kind of wrecked up from some kind of food. We were in an arena – and I shouldn’t tell this story, but like I said, my man, I don’t have a filter. I had to run backstage to my quick-change. I grabbed this poor trash can, and boy, I destroyed it. It was bad.”
