The Brit effect sees huge demand for Raye tickets after record-breaking haul

After bagging a whopping six awards and delivering an amazing performance to boot at the recent Brit Awards singer-songwriter Raye is the name on everyone’s list.

So much so there’s been a massive surge in demand for her concert tickets, new research show.

Fresh data from ticket platform viagogo shows that the award-winning artist, who scooped top prizes like ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best New Artist’ at the glitzy event, has experienced an 845% rise in ticket searches compared to last month.

In fact, the resale platform worked out that the number of people hunting for tickets to the hottest gig around would fill both Alexandra Palace and the Royal Albert Hall.

Raye’s stunning performance led to a big boost in search-to-purchase conversions, with five times more tickets sold for the star’s O2 Arena show on March 15 over the Brit Awards weekend than the whole of last month.

Candy Fortescue, Head of Supply and International Ticketing for viagogo says: “The Brit Awards has a long history of boosting an artist’s profile and taking them to new heights, and Saturday’s event has arguably made Raye a household name. This is proven by viagogo’s live data which shows an unprecedented demand for tickets to her live shows too.”

“In a matter of hours, tens of thousands of people searched and snapped up tickets for her O2 Arena show, a trend we expect to continue until the star dons the stage in 10 days.”
