The Chase beauty distracts viewers – but compliments disappear after extreme offer

The Chase viewers were left swooning over a player on the show – but things soon took an awkward turn.

The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Monday (February 5) as telly legend Bradley Walsh welcomed four new quizzers. As fans tuned in, he introduced contestants Michael, Francine, Amy and Jamie before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week the quartet were up against Mark Labbett, also known as The Beast, who made sure to bring his A-game against the wise quizzers. But when it came to Amy’s turn to play – she left plenty of viewers swooning.

Gushing over the florist Amy from Wales on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Hello Amy!” followed by love heart emojis. Someone else added: “Amy’s a bit good looking isn’t she…”

Amy had fans swooning

However, the compliments didn’t last long as during her cash-builder she only managed to bag £3,000. And for the head-to-head, she left viewers fuming when she chose the low option of £0.

On X, someone raged: “The £0 is an insult, and you are as well for taking it. For shame…” A second added: “Low offer? Is she for real?!” A third mused: “I reckon she always intended going low no matter what.”

She opted for the low offer which didn’t go down well

It seemed the controversial move paid off as Amy managed to make it through – bagging a spot in the final. She joined Jamie and Michael to play for a hefty £11,000. The trio managed to get 18 questions right.

However, when it came to The Beast’s round – it was a tense game, with Mark getting a question wrong with just two seconds remaining. And just in the nick of time, the game ended before Mark could answer the next question – meaning they won.
