The Chase fans were unimpressed with the bank holiday episode.
Viewer’s took to Twitter/X in their masses to complain about the ITV fan-favourite after they’d tuned in at a later time slot of 6:30pm, on Monday 1 April, due to Easter weekend. Other’s were also not happy that the usual show had been replaced.
Fans took to their keyboards to moan that ITV had swapped out the quizzing programme with a “repeat celebrity special” and they were not happy about it. One person said on X: “Not another celeb special repeat ep of #TheChase.. can’t you tell it’s a bank holiday Monday!”
As a second person chimed in with: “Ahh another repeat, great,” while others moaned that they didn’t know any of the celebrities taking part. “#TheChase I think we have ran out of celebrities to take part. The chasers are bigger celebrities than the celebrities!”
Another added: “Is this a celeb one? Who are they? #thechase,” as a fourth said: “Celebrity special?? Don’t know one of them #TheChase.”
The celebrities on the programme included; cricket legend Ryan Sidebottom, MOTD star Mark Chapman and newscaster Gillian Joseph.
Meanwhile, in other news, the ITV host left fans concerned for his wellbeing after revealing he could have died, had he not have made some serious lifestyle changes.
The Gladiator’s star was battling a serious health issue dubbed as a ‘silent killer’, with the iconic TV personality admitting previously that his high cholesterol was a “time bomb” and the major wake up call that he needed to put his health first.
Back in 2020, The Chase host opened up about his battle explaining at the time that he had been “quite lucky”. He said: “I was a time bomb. I was quite lucky in regards to the calcium test but my doctor said I produce too much cholesterol. It’s a silent killer.”
