Fans of ITV’s The Chase were left outraged once again as a player decided to take a minus offer which left a dent in the huge cash prize.
Presenter Bradley Walsh was back for another nail-biting show on Monday evening (March 4), with four brand new players hoping to win big. But with chaser Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan standing in the team’s way, things didn’t go as smoothly as hoped.
Shelley from New Zealand was the second contestant to face Jenny at the table after earning £6,000 in her cashbuilder. But feeling the pressure, Shelley decided to go low and play for £600.

But it was player number four Monique who left fans gutted. Monique earned £2,000 in her cashbuilder but decided to go for £-4,000.
But since her team mate Steve managed to bring back £79,000 for the team after going up against Jenny, fans at home were left livid. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their concerns.
One fan said: “Her contribution was to take minus 4K, and a pass in the final chase. No way can she take a share of 75k!!”
Another said: “Switched off, really poor lately.” A third penned: “Minus 4 Grand? FFS. Do better next time Monique.”
While a fourth viewer added: “The Vixen would have been better offering nothing as opposed to a minus offer with that amount in the pot. I’d never take a minus offer.”
But some believed that given the fact that the team already had a big wad of cash in the kitty, removing £4K wasn’t the end of the world. One fan said: “-4000 and ensure you get back to the team. That is the wisest thing to do. 75k is a fair enough sum for three people to share.”
Monique along with her teammates Steve and Graeme did manage to make it back to the final chase. However, the trio had their work cut out for them and managed to answer 16 questions correctly.
But with a few seconds spare, Jenny did manage to beat the hopeful team. Despite this, fans had another complaint as they deemed Jenny’s questions to be too easy.
Heading back over to X, one viewer said: “Chaser had the easier questions.” And another echoed: “Here’s the easy set of questions for Jenny!”
