The Chase’s Bradley Walsh left gobsmacked as when a player called him “old-fashioned”.
On Wednesday’s programme (April 3), the host was delighted to welcome player Raza who appeared to be “a breath of fresh air” for viewers at home with his wit and knowledge. However, he may have over stepped the mark a touch.
During a conversation with Bradley over books, he joked with the host: “What’s that?” As if to say he didn’t know what they were because times had changed.

Looking stunned, Bradley went on to explain that he “loved reading books” to which Raza stepped in with his returning swipe. The contestant bravely joked with the host: “You’re so old-fashioned.”
Brad seemed to see the funny side as he gasped with his mouth wide open before lunging into laughter. The Chaser, Paul Sinha, along with the audience also all chuckled away.
Meanwhile, the team were triumphant on today’s programme, with three out of the four contestants making it back for the final chase. Raza was joined by Sarah and Derek as they faced the Sinnerman in the ultimate head-to-head.
The trio had banked an impressive £14,000 between them but it was still all to play for as they took on the mighty Paul. The team worked well and managed to answers 17 questions correctly.
Bradley told them: “That was good team. A good effort from all with answering the questions but I think we’re three short. We’ll need some push backs.”
Paul was not about to admit defeat that easily and it appeared at one point that the team might actually win. This after the Chaser’ asked Bradley twice for two spellings.
However, it wasn’t meant to be for the threesome who failed on a few occassions to nail any pushbacks. They were therefore caught by The Sinnerman and left with nothing.
