Bradley Walsh was accused of “flirting” with a player on The Chase.
The celebrity edition of the ITV programme was aired on Friday (March 29) and saw Bucks Fizz member Cheryl Baker, Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin, sports presenter Jason Bell and comedian Mark Steel take on Jenny Ryan.
In the episode, first broadcast in 2022, the four stars hoped to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charities. Bradley, 63, immediately took a liking to Jason as he swooned over his accent.

After Cheryl’s cash builder, she turned to the team for advice on which offer to choose. After Jason finished speaking, the former Corrie star quipped: “I just love that accent. Don’t you?” It makes the show so much better!”
Cheryl, 70, was the first contestant of the day to make it through to the final chase. Up next was meteorologist Laura, who raised £7,000 in her cash builder.
In similar fashion, the 42-year-old spoke to her co-stars about which offer to pick. Jason, 45, shared his advice, but once again, Bradley appeared distracted. After the former American footballer urged Laura to make it back to the team, Bradley gushed: “I’m just watching him, he’s so sexy.”
The Gladiators host then stared as Jason, adding: “I’m just like, wow. I want him on the show every week now.” Laura put on an impressive display in the head-to-head with Jenny, making it through to the final chase with a whopping £125,000.
The former NFL player amassed £5,000 in his cash builder, but Jenny made it clear she no longer wanted him in the game. The Vixen said: “I have to be really honest with you, I have to catch you. I just can’t take anymore of Brad’s flirting with you.”
Jason refused to take the lower offer of £1,000 and stuck to his original cash builder score. But unfortunately for the star, he became the first player on the team to be knocked out of the competition.
Mark was the final player to take on Jenny and ended up bringing the team’s overall total to £142,000 after making it through with £9,000. The trio answered 19 questions correctly in the final chase, which Laura claimed “wouldn’t be enough”.
And sadly, she was correct. Jenny caught the team with just three seconds remaining, leaving the celebs gutted.
