The West Wing boss forced to scold actress for constant ‘hyper-sexualised’ performance

Netflix star Rob Lowe says The West Wing actress was told off by the show’s creator for giving a “hyper-sexualised” performance.

The 60-year-old – who played presidential aide Sam Seabourn in the award winning political drama – said the unnamed actress had a “heavy subtext” when she was on screen which was “usually sexual”.

The American actor said screenwriter Aaron Sorkin had to go up to her and say the line is “Thank you Mr President” and not “you want to f*** him”.

He added: “And not a big part, by the way… highly sexualised. And Aaron finally, he’s there at the monitor, and he’s mouthing the words and doing his orchestra thing that he does.

“And finally he slams the headphones down, and comes up to her, and goes ‘Ah the line is thank you Mr President – it’s not you want to f*** him, it’s just thank you Mr President’.
