This Morning hosts are “praying” for regular guest Dr Michael Mosley amid his disappearance.
The TV star, who is known for his health and wellness segments and shows, has been missing since Wednesday (5 June) after he left friends on the Greek island of Symi. Efforts have been made to track him down and the This Morning crew discussed the situation on the show today (7 June).
Alison Hammond said that Mosley’s disappearance is “so upsetting” as Vanessa Feltz continued: “It is so upsetting, I mean we’ve all interviewed him so many times, met him so many times, I would say he is the embodiment of vitality. He is an irrepressible energy and enthusiasm […] He’s the most wonderful, wonderful person, he walks into the studio and the whole place lit up every single time. I couldn’t love the guy more, or admire him. Tremendous, tremendous energy. I’m just praying that somehow they find him and somehow he’s okay.”

Dermot O’Leary said that it is “baffling” as he explained more details about Mosley’s disappearance. He turned to LBC’s Nick Ferrari and said it is “very worrying” as the radio host offered more information.
“[…] So, sniffer dogs should be arriving there in about another hour, hour and a half. I can see you’re showing drone footage – they’ve already used a helicopter, they’ve already used a drone. This is what the reporter was telling my show earlier – unfortunately its a very mountainous area which could mean that if he has fallen, tripped, whatever, there’s a lot to be found. They’re setting a lot of store on the fact that they are getting specially trained sniffer dogs over there before lunch time.”
Nick added that they are “very confident” and that it is assumed police will take the dogs to where Michael was staying, give them clothes and items to smell and hopefully take off to locate the missing TV doctor.
Over on X/Twitter, Mosley’s fans have been tweeting about the situation and shared their thoughts. One person said: “I’m so sad to hear this news. I’m a big Dr Mosley fan. I hope he’s found safe,” while another added: “I’m weirdly feeling a lot more worried about Michael Mosley than I would’ve expected to be. Hope to god he’s alright.”
Another of the doctor’s fans said that they “hope he is okay” and that the “sadness takes over every time they think of him”.
Recent police reports have said that there is “just no trace” of the doctor. It has also been reported that locals have said that the area is “nothing dangerous” as confusion grows surrounding the situation.
