Dermot O’Leary apologised to viewers after a rude word slipped out live on This Morning.
The presenter and his co-host Alison Hammond were listening to the cooking segment, where Juliet Sears was whipping up some tasty-looking cakes. And he seemed to get frustrated as he tried to unwrap a cake.
He asked the cook why he was “making such an a**e” of it, then quickly realised his gaffe. The star apologised to the cook for using “the a word”, saying: “Sorry Jules.”

He then also apologised to people watching the show. “Sorry everyone at home,” Dermot said, looking contrite. “I was in a fit of pique.”
His comment tickled a couple of viewers who posted GIFs on X of people looking shocked.
It was Dermot’s second stumble on Friday’s (April 26) instalment of the show, as earlier he left Alison looking disgusted when he threw a coffee bean into her mouth. The pair had been joking around as they teased the cooking segment, and Dermot asked if he could try and throw some food that Alison had to catch in her mouth.
She was up for it and managed it on the first go – but was miffed when she realised that her co-star had accidentally chosen a chocolate-covered coffee bean. Grimacing, she said it was “horrible” and asked Dermot to grab her a tissue so she could spit it out.
He looked horrified at his blunder, telling Alison he was sorry and confessing that he was “mortified”.
This Morning viewers seemed to be divided over the pair’s antics during Friday’s show, with some saying on social media how much they were enjoying it but others suggesting they weren’t in the mood.
“Love love Fridays with Dermot n Alison,” one fan gushed on X.
