TOWIE star Harry Derbidge stunned fans when he put two setting powders to the test and explained why he preferred the cheaper option.
The reality star, who also works as a makeup artist, posted a TikTok video to compare a high-end Laura Mercier loose powder and an affordable setting powder from Trigwell Cosmetics.
The result was so convincing that fans rushed to buy the latter one, saving them £25 in the January sales.

In the clip, Harry said: “I’m going with the famous Laura Mercier Transluscent powder that retails for £38 and the Trigwell TikTok-viral powder that retails for £14.50.
“I love both of these so much but let’s see if they work the same.”
He started off by putting the Trigwell powder on the left side of his face using the Trigwell puff.
“So you wanna grab the excess of the powder on the back of your hands. With my skin, I have very open pores. I have a bit of texture and I like a powder to cover that.
“I want my powder to always hide my imperfections but I also want it to blur my skin.
“We also want it to look like you’re wearing a filter and want it to obviously last you all day. That’s the point of a powder.
“I’m just taking this mainly on my under eyes and below my cheek because I still like to have a bit of glow on my skin but this is definitely airbrushing my skin.
“It’s literally hiding my pores, hiding my texture, make it look like I’m wearing a real-life filter. Look how airbrushing and smooth it makes your skin look. It makes your skin super, super smooth. This is famous for a reason.”
Harry then went on to explain that the Trigwell powder doesn’t contain any talc, which can give off a flashback and give odd colours on face when you take pictures.
Then he finished the other half of his face using Laura Mercier setting powder.
“This one is a bit spendy but as a makeup artist, I’ve used it. It’s probably one of the best powders on the market. But since I’ve been using the Trigwell one, I think they literally look the exact same.
“The Trigwell one is gonna be a very good dupe. The only complaint for the Laura Mercier one is it’s £38 and I don’t want to spend that much on powder.
“Look super beautiful, very smooth. So comparing the two, do they look the same? I think they are exactly the same.”
Harry revealed that he’s most likely going to re-purchase the Trigwell powder because of the affordable price.
One fan said: “It’s literally the same! I use the Laura Mercier one but I’m gonna go Trigwell for a try! Thanks Harry for saving me some dollars!”
This long-lasting formula promises medium coverage, in an ultra-soft powder that sits perfectly on the complexion, instantly brightening and reducing the appearance of pores for a flawless finish.
Prepare to be picture perfect, as the velvety texture of this powder mattifies the face to prevent flashback, leaving behind a seamlessly airbrushed finish.
