Two and a Half Men fans are feeling “betrayed” after finally discovering just who sings the iconic theme song.
While the opening credits were written by show creator Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn, and show the main cast crooning the words into a microphone, they’re not the ones actually singing those lyrics. Instead, it’s a legendary voice actor behind the scenes.
That voice actor is Elizabeth Daily – and not a man at all. She’s the actress behind iconic cartoon characters like Rugrats’ Tommy Pickles, Buttercup in The Powerpuff Girls and even Babe the pig. In a shocking new TikTok, the actress herself revealed some of the most iconic things she’s been a part of.

Taking on the popular meme, she said: “I’m a voice actor!” before showing a clip of the Two and a Half Men theme song, with Elizabeth singing along. Then came a clip from the cartoon series Quack Pack, in which Elizabeth voiced Louie.
Fans over in the comments section were feeling triggered by the reveal, as one commented: “Mind. Blown. I wasn’t expecting Two and a Half Men, but BABE?!” As another posted: “You sang in Two and a Half Men WHAT?”
A third fan echoed: “Yoooo… so the kid wasn’t singing?” Another said: “Whaaaaaat? The Two and a Half Men one gagged me.” And a fifth social media user posted: “Girl just dropped that Two and a Half Men bombshell like it was nothing.”
Elizabeth even appeared in one episode of Friends to sing Smelly Cat alongside Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay. In one mind-blowing revelation, one of her Rugrats episodes was actually recorded while she was in labour.
She revealed to The Guardian: “When you work on something for that long, you all become very close. We saw both births and deaths. We lost the wonderful actress Dana Hill to diabetes. I even recorded a Tommy session while I was in labour. The engineer was like: ‘Your contractions are coming really quickly now.’ And I was like: ‘No, I’m fine.’ Very soon after that, I had my daughter.”

But she almost didn’t make it to the audition for the legendary baby character, as she was having a carpet fitted in her apartment and didn’t want to leave the workers alone. She said: “I was the first person in, and I told them I was in a hurry. But they kept me in the booth, and just kept on bringing producers in, one after another.
“As soon as they showed me a drawing of Tommy, I could hear his voice in my head. It was a voice I’d been doing since I was in elementary school, when my friend Michelle and I would walk around the yard holding pinkies and doing baby voices.”
