Woman who visited Jeremy Clarkson’s pub says he’s ‘paying her mortgage’ this month

A woman has been praised after revealing that she managed to get Jeremy Clarkson to pay off her mortgage – but not in the way you might think.

Ali, from the Cotswolds, left people gobsmacked when she disclosed on social media that the TV star and farmer footed her bills. The content creator, who has amassed over 871,000 views on TikTok for her tips on exploring the Cotswolds, garnered over 90,000 views on a video where she explained: “So, Jeremy Clarkson is actually paying my mortgage this month. Here’s your sign to go for it!”

Ali, who lives with her husband and dog, admitted it “sounds absolutely bonkers to say” but her claim is accurate. It follows Ali giving a sneak peek inside the TV star’s new pub The Farmer’s Dog and sharing it on TikTok – racking up nearly three million views.

She gave viewers a tour of the pub which boasts an outdoor terrace, shop, restaurant, and pop-up coffee station. Ali revealed that after posting the video of the Clarkson’s Farm star and his new venture, she was able to get help with her bills.

Ali elaborated: “Luckily for me I had just been accepted onto the Creator Fund the day before, which was just a miracle to be honest. It did really well and my RPM was really high. Although he is not paying the full mortgage, he is paying my portion of the mortgage.”

RPM is TikTok’s clever little tool for calculating the dosh creators should pocket when someone watches their video for a solid 60 seconds or more. It’s TikTok’s way of tipping its hat to the content wizards.

A spokesperson from TikTok said: “The Creator Fund is not a grant or ad revenue sharing programme.

“Creators receive funds based on a variety of factors from their videos, and creators will know that performance on is dynamic – it changes naturally – so your funds will ebb and flow in the same way.”

Ali was over the moon with the support, but word is Clarkson’s still in the dark. Keen to get others on board, She shared: “So really the point of this video is to say that you should just go for it.

“I know the fear of perceptions is really difficult, but my only piece of advice would be that you just have to stay consistent.”

The comments section was ablaze with comments, with one user posting: “Absolutely love this, well done, hope you continue to grow.” Another said: “That’s brilliant, how wonderful.”

While someone else added: “This is a brilliant story! So happy for you!”
