Tammy revealed that she was in a happy relationship with a woman just two months ago, but it appears the good news keeps getting better for Tammy, who now looks set to get hitched
Tammy Slaton has announced she is getting engaged to her girlfriend months after going public.
The 1000-lb Sisters star revealed just two months ago that she had found love with a woman and was living it up together in her newfound love. Now the pair look set to tie the knot, as she showed off her engagement ring to fans and followers.
Tammy made the announcement in a bizarrely casual manner as she chatted on the Creative Chaos podcast. Speaking with the hosts, Tammy admitted that she had truly fallen in love with partner Andrea Dalton – and was ready to take things to the next step.
During the frank and honest chat, Tammy referred to her darling babe Andrea as her fiancée. This then brought the host Hunter Ezell to ask whether the pair had actually opted to get hitched.
“Hold on, you said fiancée?” Hunter quizzed. The 38-year-old kept her cards close to her chest as she explained: “Me and my fiancée we kind of just chill at home; like, we go to Walmart and just walk around or Roses, somewhere like that, not to buy just to walk around, get some exercise, something to do.”
Trying to pry further and find out more information, Hunter returned to the question of her relationship status, remarking that Tammy beamed with smiles when Andrea was mentioned. After “lighting up” upon the discussion of her partner, Tammy then cheekily flaunted her engagement ring on her wedding finger.
During the course of the chat, Tammy also wore a necklace with the name Andrea inscribed onto it, according to the Mirror. Clearly seeing the absolute joy the moment was, host Hunter rejoiced: “Have mercy, that is so cute!”
Back in April, Tammy revealed that she had left men behind after finding that the love of her life was a woman. Her relationship with Andrea came about two years after the death of her beloved husband and TLC co-star Caleb Willingham.
In one particularly heart-wrenching episode of their reality show, Tammy spoke candidly about her own love life. This came after Tammy dropped 500 pounds as part of her weight loss journey, together with sister Amy.
In the episode, which came in the newest series of the reality hit, Tammy revealed that Amy – who had found love during the course of the show – was not “the only one seeing someone new”. She then spilled the beans, adding: “So have I…I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it’s going pretty well.
“The person I’m dating is a woman,” she continued, “so I haven’t told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it. I think my family probably has more opinions than the world has a******* because they be farting so much.”
However, this is not the first time that Tammy has opened up on her sexuality, revealing in an interview a number of years ago that she was pansexual. She jokingly added: “A few years ago I came out as pansexual but after Caleb passing, I just don’t want to be with men anymore.”
