Seven years after his Big Brother exit, former contestant Lewis Flanagan looks like a new man. Back in 2018, Lewis appeared on Channel 5’s last Big Brother series but was booted off in the final week after making ‘Auschwitz’ remarks that weren’t aired.

Since then, the 34 year old has undergone a drastic transformation. Gone are the long locks, beard, and man bun he sported when he entered the Big Brother house.

Now, he has a clean-shaven head and sports a moustache. After his Big Brother stint, Lewis kept a low profile on social media before eventually deleting his accounts.

However, when he re-joined Instagram in November, fans got a glimpse into his new life in Australia. Despite previously discussing his flexitarian diet and aversion to meat, Lewis appears to have changed his tune.

His feed now features videos and photos of him enjoying steak. He’s also shared his love for working out and climbing with his followers. Reflecting on his abrupt Big Brother exit, Lewis attributed it to a “slip of the tongue.”

In a previous interview with The Sun, he explained: “I was talking to Cameron (Cole) about getting him some outfits and I said the word ‘Auschwitz’ instead of outfits by mistake. Lewis explained: “It was a slip of the tongue and then I tried to mock Hitler and did an impression of him saying ‘Kill the Jews’.”

When pressed for further comment, Lewis added: “I never once tried to offend anyone or hurt anyone’s feelings. It’s unacceptable. I’m not ashamed of myself because I didn’t try to offend anyone, it was just a slip of the tongue.

“Unfortunately for me, my bad language and misuse of certain words has exploded in my face. I never meant to upset anyone, hurt anyone’s feelings or disrespect any kind of background, sexuality, race, gender or religion.”

At the time, the show issued a statement: “Lewis has been removed from the Big Brother House for unacceptable language that contravenes the rules. Lewis has left the House with immediate effect.”
