EXCLUSIVE: Britain’s Got Talent fans are in for an exciting finale episode tonight as a chart-topping music star is set to appear on the show and “everyone is absolutely thrilled”
Britain’s Got Talent’s finale episode will feature a chart-topping musician.
Tom Grennan is set to sing at the Britain’s Got Talent final and will perform a duet with judge KSI in tonight’s live show [31 May].
The pair reportedly agreed to take part after a week of “secret talks” leading up to the 2025 series’ final episode.
Bosses are reportedly “over the moon” to have the pair signed up. A show insider said: “Everyone at Britain’s Got Talent is absolutely thrilled this is happening.”
“Tom and KSI are two of the biggest names in music. This has all the ingredients to be one of the best performances ever staged on the show and it’s also going to attract quite a few younger viewers, which will go down well with execs.”
The duet is likely to boost ratings for the final, which will last for almost three hours. Choir Hear Our Voice is the bookies’ favourite to win, with great odds of 2/1.
Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati said: “Hear Our Voice will head into Saturday’s grand finale as the ones to beat. They have struck a chord with judges, viewers and punters alike.”
Other acts in the running include The Blackouts, Harry Moulding, Olly Pearson, Stacey Leadbeatter, Ping Pong Pang and Binitra Chetry. Completing the line-up are Joseph Charm, Vinnie McKee and Jasmine Rice.
KSI has backed Stacey to be crowned the winner and nab the £250,000 prize.
The YouTube star, who was brought in as a guest judge this series, reckons she deserves it and while speaking on Lorraine, he said: “I hope she wins. I love Stacey, her story is phenomenal.”
KSI was clearly blown away after seeing her perform earlier in the series: “Working at a chicken shop and then being able to come through in front of an audience like that and sing her heart out, I was just mind blown. She needs to win this. It’s written for her.”
Show boss Simon Cowell has also admitted he owes the success of Britain’s Got Talent to Susan Boyle as after her audition went viral in 2009, the format became even more lucrative.
He said: “No one knew who this lady was. She was from Scotland, a little village, and she goes on Britain’s Got Talent and within 48 hours the clip had 500 million views.”
“You have to think about that and go ‘it’s hard to describe, but it’s the most unbelievable feeling. We sold the show to 30 more countries after that. It was unbelievable.”
