Britney Spears has once again sparked controversy amongst her fanbase after sharing a series of eyebrow-raising social media posts throughout the past week.
The 43-year-old pop sensation raised eyebrows when she posted footage from within her expansive home, revealing cluttered spaces and what appeared to be ongoing tidying efforts in the background.
“Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow,” she told her massive 41.8 million following, though numerous supporters expressed unease about her seemingly chaotic living environment.
In one clip, the Toxic star delivered her own version of Prince’s Kiss, quipping: “I would say, Julia Roberts singing Prince’s Kiss off key a touch, but I sounded really good behind the lens lol! ! !”.
She went on: “PSS wise a**es, I do know who I am! ! ! I have eight different languages written on my neck… these are my pjs, but I put these boots on to play with lighting… not the most elegant look but hey! ! !”, reports the Express.
Despite the performer appearing upbeat, the messy setting behind her only intensified concerns amongst her devoted supporters.
The clip concluded with one of her pets wandering casually into shot, heightening the impression of disorder.
Days afterwards, Spears stirred up fresh debate by uploading a revealing photograph taken from behind.
Clad only in sky-high black stilettos, a carefully positioned red rose emoji shielded her exposed bottom.
The upload came without any accompanying text, and Spears had switched off the comments feature, blocking followers from voicing their thoughts. Earlier that same day, the pop star had displayed a more upbeat demeanour by posting holiday clips from the water.
In one video, she struck a pose wearing a green bikini, before switching to a pale pink swimming costume to dance to Manon Dave’s remix of Timbaland’s Carry Out, which featured her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
In a separate post, Spears exposed a rather less polished aspect of her break away, confessing she had been hit by food poisoning. “Something I wish someone would have told me before the boat that day NEVER eat meat in heat that hot even tiny slider bun… I got so sick,” she revealed.
“I never eat steak n meat cus I get sick, it’s horrible. I wasn’t expecting a small one would ever make feel that sick, thought I was gonna have to go to the hospital.”
And today, the performer once again left her fans speechless by sharing an image of her bare back – this time paired with an extensive and heartfelt message.
“We’re just people so fragile and human the hardest years of my life were my two sons gone for those 3 years… I was cut off from calling or texting and I remember in shock my secret to survival was denial and a lot of tears it’s weird me and Sam were married but it almost felt like a fake distraction to help me deal with it… well I know I’m healing bc I’m hungry again like a child or baby… I’m so hungry it hurts and when I eat it’s like it’s my first time ever eating in my life”.
“I believe although I loved my home there is waaay too much abuse and trauma in there… Today I thank Jesus for food it feel like telling others NO… Owning my body… and letting them REALLY know where im from… My soul has never experienced food like this a day in my life… so silly and embarrassing I’m going to eat cookies and cream ice cream now… god bless u all.”
