Reverend Richard Coles once burnt himself while having sex in a burger van, he confessed this week. The Church of England priest recalled the sizzling hookup from the days before he joined the clergy.
Speaking on Rylan Clark’s podcast How To Be In Love, the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star said his hand touched a “hot griddle” while he was getting down and dirty with a burger man, parked in a lay-by in the Midlands.
“I discovered casual sex on the road network of the Midlands,” he admitted, with Rylan asking if he’d been “dogging”. Richard replied: “Well, we didn’t call it that then. It was meeting people in may-bys.”

Broken Rodman
Basketball player Dennis Rodman really needs to be more careful. The flamboyant NBA star has admitted to breaking his penis not one, but three times during romps with different women.
The first time, his partner thought she’d “killed him”, he says. “There was blood everywhere.” Ouch.
Bedding down
Loose Women host Linda Robson said on air she had broken “two of the bed slats” while bonking then-husband Mark Dunford in 2021. But that’s not the worst of it.
During her years on BBC sitcom Birds of a Feather, she says she once suffered a “carpet burn on my nose”.
Hamstrung
Former Man City star Micah Richards revealed he once knackered his leg during a session with a partner. He says: “I was ‘having fun’ and as I was ‘having fun’, I slipped off the bed and stretched my leg and did my hamstring.”
At his next training session, the defender claimed not to know how he got hurt.
Close encounter
Actress Leslie Ash suffered devastating consequences after cracking two ribs during a romp with hubby Lee Chapman. She was rushed to hospital after the 2004 accident, where she contracted deadly superbug MRSA and was almost left permanently unable to walk.
Waved away
Loose Women host Janet Street-Porter was left red-faced when she tried to get busy with a partner on a waterbed. As waves formed on the mattress, she bashed her head on the wall and started feeling “violently sick.”
She says: “I hit my head really hard against the toilet as I vomited.”
Eye watering
The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes has never gone into detail about how she hurt herself bedding husband Marvin Humes. We do know it was bad enough to send her to A&E – and somehow involved her eye.
Speaking in 2013, she also confirmed there were no sex toys or household objects involved.
Over the top
Former Tottenham Hotspur player Kevin-Prince Boateng suffered a string of injuries when he started dating ex-wife Melissa Satta in 2011.
The Italian beauty claimed it was because they were having sex “seven to 10 times a week”, adding: “I prefer to be on top, so that I can be in control.”
Trigger finger
Reality star Gretchen Rossi recently revealed she did a ‘Dennis Rodman’ with her fiancé Slade Smiley. In the trailer for the new series of Real Housewives of Orange County, she describes having “broke” his penis during a night of passion.
She then bends her finger to demonstrate, adding: “Like this.”
Done to death
According to legend, former US vice president Nelson Rockefeller sustained the ultimate sex injury. The married Republican, a member of the wealthy Rockefeller family, was apparently in bed with his 25-year-old assistant Megan Marshack when he suffered a fatal heart attack in 1977, aged 70.
