YouTuber Yung Filly previously pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm
Rapper Yung Filly has been charged with two more counts of sexual penetration without consent, as his trial date for his previous charges, which he denies, has been set. The Channel 4 star will face a 10-day trial next year starting April 20.
The YouTuber, 29, previously pleaded not guilty to four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. The two new charges were briefly mentioned in his latest court appearance, though no plea was entered and his lawyer did not discuss the changes outside court.
The British star, real name Andrew Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is facing the allegations in Australia and appeared at Perth District Court on Friday (June 13). He was originally arrested in Brisbane last year before being extradited to Perth.
Filly is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a hotel room after a performance in Perth last September, which he denies.
He also denies an accusation of choking a woman, impeding her normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to her neck.
The online star has amassed 1.8million subscribers on YouTube, as well as millions more followers on Instagram and TikTok.
He was born in Colombia before moving to the UK as a child. He launched his YouTube career in 2013 before transitioning to music in 2017.
Due to his online popularity, he has appeared on a number of high profile television shows. These include a number of shows on BBC Three, The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off on Channel 4, and BBC stalwart Would I Lie To You?
He also played for England in Soccer Aid 2020, scoring a goal during the match.
Filly has also worked with huge brands including Heinz and M&S Food.
