Chris Hemsworth has returned to Limitless for its second season on Disney+.
Chris Hemsworth has revealed the “magical” moment he experienced on The Avengers set alongside his fellow cast members.
The Australian actor, famous for portraying Thor, forms part of the legendary Avengers ensemble, which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Florence Pugh as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye.
The 42-year-old stepped away from the Marvel universe to shoot the second series of Limitless for Disney+, which follows his journey to discover better ways of living.
Among the tasks set to boost his cognitive abilities was mastering the drums and performing before thousands at an Ed Sheeran gig.
During a Q&A session for the fresh series, cognitive scientist Maya Shankar revealed that the actor would have experienced collective effervescence, a type of wonder felt within groups.
She explained: “We feel the boundaries between us dissolve, we feel more connected with one another.
“People describe having full blown spiritual experiences in these masses.”
Hemsworth then chimed in to recall another occasion when he experienced similar feelings.
He revealed: “I’ve had nothing to this degree but I remember being on The Avengers 2 or 3 and there was a fair bit of improvisation happening and 10 different characters in a room and something clicked and a few things came about.
“Robert Downey Jr afterwards came up and said ‘Did you feel that?’
“I said ‘Yeah that was quite cool.'” He went on to say: “Every now and again, you tend to orchestrate it and capture it and that’s what you’re chasing the whole time.
“It’s those little moments of magic where everything just falls into place and you’re no longer trying to articulate or analyse, it’s beyond you.”
It’s been half a decade since Avengers: Endgame hit the big screen, but fans are on tenterhooks as the next instalment draws near.
Hemsworth, along with his fellow Avengers cast members, is currently immersed in the production of the sequel, Avengers: Doomsday.
While an official release date remains under wraps, it’s anticipated to make its grand debut sometime in 2026.
Limitless is available to watch on Disney+.
