Jeremy Clarkson’s farm manager Kaleb Cooper has revealed he suffered a nasty injury and has been left in a lot of “pain”, telling followers the situation is “not good”
Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has gone to hospital after a nasty accident.
The 26-year-old farmer helps Jeremy Clarkson run Diddly Squat Farm on the Amazon Prime show. He was temporarily replaced by fellow farmer Harriet Cowan on the latest series before making his return to the farm after a tour of the UK.
However, Kaleb has revealed that he had to visit A&E after fracturing his foot on Tuesday evening (June 10) while playing a game of football. The TV star had to go in for an X-ray the following morning.
He took to Instagram with a video to unveil his swollen ankle and also posted snaps of the aftermath. He told fans: “I just got back from football and I’m trying to shut the chickens up and look at that ankle, ahh pain, the pain, the pain!”.
He explained he’d suffered a fracture and shared a photo of his foot in a black protective boot, alongside the caption: “Not good.” However, he insisted the injury wouldn’t stop him from attending the Royal Three Counties Show this weekend in Malvern, Worcestershire.
Kaleb said: “I may be hobbling around as I’ve fractured my ankle, but I’ll still be at the 3 Counties Show on the Sunday, setting up on the Thursday. I’ll be doing talks throughout the day, and Hawkestone Cider will be there.
He added: “So, do pop along and say hello. I’m looking forward to it. Even though I may be hobbling around I’ll be there – don’t you worry! I’ll be there.”
Things got a little awkward between Kaleb and nurse Harriet when he returned to Diddly Squat on the fourth series of Clarkson’s Farm. Clarkson told Kaleb that he needed to be nice to his new recruit, saying: “Right, now, that’s Harriet. Now be nice – behave.”
Kaleb stood in silence and watched Harriet working, at one point she might not have known what fertiliser to use on the field. Clarkson later scolded him for his behaviour, telling him he’d developed “c*** fly” on his tour.
However, Harriet has now revealed that she and Kaleb aren’t feuding and actually get on really well. She told BBC Derby: “Kaleb’s amazing. Me and him are so close now. He’s such a good farmer and we got on really well.”
She continued: “He’s another farmer to add to my phone list to ring. Everyone checks in to make sure everyone’s fine. The farm is two and a bit hours away, so it’s crazy to be talking to Kaleb, Jeremy, Gerald and Charlie and asking what the weather is like.”
She also addressed a potential return to the show, adding: “My life is going to be constantly farming. I’m never not going to farm, and I know it.
“I’ve just got to find a way to use what platform I’ve got to promote women in the industry and mental health. You’re never getting me off the farm, they’ll have to take me screaming and kicking.
Harriet also teased a future return to Diddly Squat Farm. She said: “We’ve left it very open. I’m here if he needs me, but no plans at the moment.”
