This Country actress Daisy May Cooper has lost an incredible 10 stone over the past three years and she looked amazing as she celebrated son Jack’s sixth birthday
Daisy May Cooper stunned supporters with her amazing new look as she carries on with her remarkable weight loss transformation.
The This Country actress has successfully dropped 10 stone over the last three years and looked absolutely brilliant whilst marking son Jack’s sixth birthday with Spiderman and Batman, plus her one year old Benji.
The comic opted for an all-black ensemble for the celebration, with her blonde locks and makeup looking flawless. She was delighted with how the event unfolded and expressed gratitude to the entertainment team, posting: “Thank you so much to the Magical Character Company for the best surprise for Jack’s birthday” before quipping that Benji was “attacking” her partner Ant Huggins as he placed his hand near his face.
Her incredible change occurred whilst shooting between the first and second series of her BBC smash hit Am I Being Unreasonable? spanning three years from 2021 to 2024. She has previously opened up about what drove her to shed the pounds, revealing she felt compelled to transform after battling with her mental health and feeling “unhappy” and “miserable”, reports the Mirror.
Speaking to The Sun TV Magazine, she reflected on how bizarre it was to witness the difference between her former and current appearance on television. “It was a bit mad, as since we filmed the last series and this series, I’ve had my lips done and lost about ten stone, so in those flashbacks, we were just killing ourselves laughing as we don’t even look like the same people. But it was fun.
“And I was pregnant when we started filming series two and my a******* of a son decided to be born seven weeks early, so we had to stop filming right in the middle. I have a brilliant son, but that was stressful.”
Daisy May has spoken frankly about the hurdles she’s encountered during her weight loss transformation and the backlash she’s endured. She remembered how certain individuals responded harshly when she first revealed her transformed figure in 2019.
“I’ve had some messages like, ‘Well, now you’ve lost the weight, you’re not funny anymore.’ What the [explicit]? Why do women have to be [explicit] fat to be funny? That makes me so angry. I think everybody should be happy with their body,” she told Grazia.
She’s been transparent about her body image battles, clarifying that whilst she champions body positivity, she recognised she had to transform her lifestyle for her wellbeing. “I’m so for body positivity, but when I was at my biggest, I was at my most miserable and I had a massive food addiction. I wasn’t healthy. I couldn’t breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy.”
The television personality has also discussed her encounters with aesthetic procedures. She previously confessed that dermal fillers and Botox resulted in what she termed a “pillow face.”
She remembered, “My agent said to me, ‘You’ve got to stop, because you’re not going to be able to f****** act,’ because I literally could not move my eyebrows.
“It killed me, because I loved not having any creases in my forehead. But I haven’t had any surgery. I did go in to have a consultation for a tummy tuck, but the surgeon just scared the s*** out of me – there were so many complications with it.”
