Sir David Beckham has been receiving treatment in hospital for a painful injury as his wife Victoria sent an emotional message.
The Manchester United and England legend, 50, suffered what appears to be a broken arm, with the former Spice Girls star posting a photo on Instagram of him in a hospital bed with his right arm in a sling.
“Get well soon Daddy,” Victoria, 51, wrote to accompany the snap of Beckham wearing a hospital gown. She also posted a photo of a friendship bracelet given to her husband, with letters forming ‘Get Well Soon’ on the white beads.
The couple have yet to share what happened to the Inter Miami and Salford City co-owner. The ex-Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain winger – who was awarded a knighthood earlier this month – was pictured smiling through the pain.
Beckham and Victoria have four children: sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13. His oldest son, Brooklyn, has been at the centre of reports of a fierce feud in the family.
Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, 30, have made headlines over speculation there was a rift within the Beckham clan after the young couple swerved Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations last month.
Model and photographer Brooklyn along with his partner didn’t turn up to celebrate either Victoria’s 51st birthday or Beckham’s milestone events in Paris and London.
The couple have also remained silent on social media since the news that his father had finally been awarded his long-sought-after knighthood.
However, the hot sauce enthusiast made sure to wish Nicola’s father, Nelson, a happy birthday online.
Beckham meanwhile has admitted he would be tempted into football management by one job – becoming England coach.
Becks has shied away from manager jobs since his retirement, preferring to become a club owner in the US. But the former midfielder reckons he has the skills to be a “good coach”, but wants to earn his pro badges.
He said: “The only job I would ever think about, would be to manage our country I suppose. I could manage England in 10 years time. That’s what it’ll take.
“I wouldn’t want to just jump straight into that role because I think it’s a disrespect to some managers out there that have been doing it for a long time and deserve that role.”
